Barbara Bush may not want son Jeb to run for president, but it sounds like George H.W. Bush has a different opinion.

If you ask Dad the same question, Should Jeb run?, he d say yes, Neil Bush, one of the Bush brothers, told CNN.

When CNN s Gloria Borger asked Bush whether he d posed the question to his father, the 41st president, he said: I ve heard him answer that question.

Barbara Bush famously has made clear that we ve had enough Bushes in the White House and believes there are more families than hers and Bill Clinton s that should seek the White House. When the former first lady voiced her opinion on NBC ahead of the George W. Bush Presidential Library dedication, Neil Bush says the family watched Jeb standing in the corner nervously.

Jeb Bush, a former Florida governor, has said his mother s view won t affect his decision, but he also acknowledges that his last name and family history in the White House will have impact just like they will on Hillary Rodham Clinton.

Neil Bush, an investor and board chairman of the Points of Light Foundation, talked to CNN for a story on the Bush-Clinton impact on politics that aired Thursday.
