INDIANTRAIL, N.C. -- Four people were injured when a plane crashed in Union County Sunday afternoon.

Authorities said a Piper PA-28 aircraft went down after taking off at Goose Creek Airport at the Charlotte National Golf Course on West Lawyers Road around 3 p.m. Sunday.

The plane had just taken off before crashing moments later.

The FAA says identities and conditions of those on board will be released by local authorities.

The FAA is investigating the crash.
