Neighbors called police after hearing gunshots. Officers arrived to find the victim, 36-year-old Gary Lane Jr., suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at CMC.

Police have detained a subject of interest, who is cooperating. Investigators say that person and the victim knew each other, and an altercation led to the gunshot.

The second incident happened less than an hour later in the 6900 block of Hidden Forest Drive. That victim was pronounced dead on scene.

This person also knew the suspects, according to detectives. After an altercation on Friday evening, police say the suspects drove to the residence on Hidden Forest to continue the argument. One of the suspects shot the victim before they all fled the scene.

Both investigations are ongoing.
