CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Halloween falls on a Sunday this year and that has some parents debating when kids should go trick or treating.

Some neighborhoods are opting for Saturday so sugarcoated kids can sleep in the next day.

Others worry if they switch, not everyone will make the same call and they could get two rounds of costumed kids coming door to door.

NewsChannel 36 looked into the question and found most municipalities have decided to keep Halloween as is, including the city of Charlotte.

We have confirmed Mt. Holly, Clover, and Lowell have all decided to move Halloween festivities to Saturday.
