CORNELIUS, N.C. -- The wet weather is wreaking havoc across the area.

Crews in Cornelius are working to fix a sink hole caused by all of the rain. The ground gave way Sunday night when workers were trying to fix portions of Old Canal Street.

The collapse knocked out power to the nearby community of Antiquity. Residents in the area have been without power since 8 p.m. Sunday.

Crews say they're hoping to have the hole fixed and power restored sometime Monday morning.
