GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A US Airways flight to Charlotte had to make an emergency landing in Greensboro on Wednesday morning.

Officials said Flight 3727 from Lynchburg, Virginia was diverted because of trouble with its landing gear.

The plane was checked by maintenance crews when it arrived at the Greensboro airport. The plane was cleared to continue flying to Charlotte a short time after it arrived.

There were 45 passengers and three crew members on the plane, according to officials.
