IREDELLCOUNTY, N.C. -- The Iredell County Sheriff's Office has charged a woman following a traffic stop in which moonshine was located concealed in the trunk.
On October 14, the Iredell County Sheriff's Office Interstate Criminal Enforcement Team pulled over a 2004 Chrysler Sebring driven by Kimberly Ann Tucker, 41, of Michigan on I-77.
Deputies say indicators of criminal activity were observed during the traffic stop, and a probable cause search of the vehicle ensued.
In the trunk of the vehicle, deputies report finding six gallons of non-tax paid Moonshine concealed in Mason jars and gallon jugs. Authorities say fruit and candy was mixed in with the alcohol.
Tucker was cited for possession of non-tax paid alcohol, following too close and no operator's license and released.
The case has been turned over to the Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division for further investigation.
