CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- As this year marks the 10th anniversary of September 11, NewsChannel 36 is looking back at that day and the impact it had on the Carolinas.

Pat McCrory was the mayor of Charlotte then and he spent three years on the Homeland Security Advisory Council.
