GASTONIA, N.C. -- Two teens were arrested shortly after police say they robbed a bank in Gastonia by gunpoint Thursday afternoon.
Gastonia police said the PNC bank off of South New Hope Road was robbed around 2:30 p.m.
Jalen Christopher Davidson, 18, and Kevin Lee Long Jr.,19, of Gastonia were arrested a short distance from the bank.
Police say one of the two teens was armed with a gun and demanded money from a teller. One of the alleged robbers then left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Davidson and Long Jr. were charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Police say a third male suspect was detained but later released without being charged.
