GASTONIA, N.C. Police are searching for the man who threatened to kill a Dollar General Store clerk during a Monday night robbery in Gastonia.

The robbery took place at the Dollar General Store at 3864 West Franklin Boulevard around 9 p.m.

The man, who was captured on surveillance video, was going to buy a candy bar and then demanded money from the clerk, according to police.

He told her he would shoot her if she screamed. He took money from the register and fled the store, the report states.

The suspect is believed to be in his mid 30 s with a beard and a mustache.

Anyone who can help identify the man may get a $1,000 reward from Crime Stoppers.
