GREENVILLE, S.C. (AP) -- South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley is touting her jobs record and push against the federal government as she officially kicks off her re-election campaign.

Three other Republican governors joined Haley onstage at the rally outside the BI-LO Center in Greenville. Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Texas Gov. Rick Perry and Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker each spoke for several minutes.

Haley says she invited them because they're three outspoken reformers in their states, and it made sense to invite her friends for the occasion.

The rally attended by several hundred people will be followed by a private, high-dollar fundraiser with the potential presidential candidates.

The event officially sets up the long-expected rematch between Haley and Democratic state Sen. Vincent Sheheen.

Several dozen Democrats protested the event.
