CONCORD, N.C. -- Six people are displaced from their home following a fire in Concord on Monday.
Fire crews responded to the home in the 200 block of Mahan Street Southwest just after 10:30 Monday morning.
Smoke billowed from the residence upon their arrival, and 22 firemen worked to contain the blaze.
The fire was confined to a bedroom, but the whole home suffered smoke damage, leaving six occupants displaced.
No one was home at the time, and officials say a neighbor reported the fire to 911.
Investigators say they will continue to work to determine a cause, but it appears the cause is accidental in nature.
The American Red Cross is assisting the family with their immediate needs.
