WACO, Texas -- Waco police identified a suspect connected to a Friday afternoon stabbing where the victim said happened after she brought home pizza instead of a chicken sandwich for lunch.

According to a report by KWTXNews 6, police arrested Michael Darrin Corsey, 34, at the scene and he was listed on the McLennan County Jail log as being held in lieu of a $5,000 bond charged with aggravated assault bodily injury family violence.

Officers were sent at around 12:45 p.m. Friday to a home in the 1300 block of Clay Avenue after a caller reported the stabbing.

When officers arrived they found the woman, who had been injured during a domestic disturbance.

She told officers her boyfriend sent her out for a chicken sandwich for lunch and when she returned with pizza, he stabbed her with a kitchen knife, Waco police Sgt. W. Patrick Swanton said.

She was also choked and struck in the face, Swanton said.

Paramedics treated her at the scene, he said.
