MATTHEWS, N.C. -- Police in Matthews are looking for an armed robbery suspect who held up the Dunkin' Donuts Tuesday night.

Around 9 p.m., Matthews Police responded to the Dunkin' Donuts in the 9000 block of Independence Boulevard on a report of an armed robbery.

Police say the suspect, who's described as standing between 5-foot-8 and 5-foot-10, was armed with a handgun. He fled the store on foot.

The suspect was wearing a white hoodie with Hollister down the left arm, red sweats and tan boots.

No one was injured in the robbery, and police did not comment on what was taken.

Matthews Police believe this robbery may be connected to another incident at the same store back on March 10.
