CHESTERCOUNTY, S.C. -- One person died after being ejected from the cab in a single vehicle crash on Saturday evening.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says the victim was traveling northbound on Mountain Gap Road in Chester County around 7 p.m. when his vehicle left the roadway, struck several trees and overturned.

Authorities say the victim, Alfred James Harper, 62, of Blackstock, South Carolina, was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.

Harper, who was driving a 1988 Chevy pickup, was ejected from the vehicle in the crash.
