ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. -- Deputies say they found almost 100 Hydrocodone tablets in a man s car during a traffic stop.
Police: Hydrocodone found during traffic stop
They pulled over the man around 12 a.m. Wednesday when he allegedly made an abrupt turn to avoid a checkpoint on White Farm Road.
Deputies caught up with 37-year-old Wayne Lee Morrison II. The sheriff s office says he gave consent to search the vehicle.
Police say they found 94 Hydrocodone tablets hidden by the console.
Morrison is charged with trafficking heroin, possession with intent to sell and interfering with a utility meter.
The utility charge relates to an outstanding warrant from last year.
Bond was sent for Morrision at $150,500. He was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center.
