LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. -- One person was killed in a single-vehicle crash in Lancaster County early Sunday morning.

South Carolina Highway Patrol says a driver headed southbound on McIllwein Road over-corrected and ran off the side of the roadway just before 5 a.m.

After the 2004 Mazda 6 left the runway, it struck a bridge and a utility pole, officials say.

The driver, who has not been identified, died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
