CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- As the Occupy Charlotte movement continues, on Sunday the public is invited to Uptown Charlotte for an event the group is calling A Day of Love .
Activists from the Occupy Movement have been camped out at city hall for months. A Day of Love aims to teach others about Occupy Charlotte's goals and to honor recently returning military members.
Occupy Charlotte protesters say they want people to come out and learn about their moment and honor US war veterans at the same time.
The event is being held where the group has been camped out for months, in front of the old city hall.
Organizers of the festival say they will have music, art, and discussions about who they are and what they stand for.
The group also wants to show people how to make their vote count in the upcoming election.
The event is scheduled to start at 11am on Sunday and run until 8pm.
