DALLAS, N.C. -- A mother and infant were displaced from their home after an early Friday morning fire.

The fire broke out at a home on Cinderella Drive around 4 a.m. in Gaston County.

Firefighters were able to get the fire under control quickly. The fire started outside of the home, according to officials.

The mother and infant were able to escape without any injuries. Officials said they will stay will relatives for the time being.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
