CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A homeless man was taken to the hospital after he was hit by a car in east Charlotte.

The collision happened around 6 p.m. Sunday night in the 2800 block of The Plaza. Police say the man was clipped by the car.

Medic took the man to CMC Main with life threatening injuries. No word yet on his identity or condition.

It was not immediately clear if anyone would face charges.
