CONCORD, N.C -- Concord police are investigating a shooting that left a teenager dead early Wednesday morning.
Police said the shooting happened around 4 a.m. at an apartment complex off of Madison Avenue in northeast Concord.
NBC Charlotte has learned the victim, 19-year-old Treyvon Jermaine Burton, was outside of the apartment when he was shot and killed.
Responding medical personnel found Burton lying in the driveway, and pronounced him dead at the scene.
Investigators are collecting evidence and going door-to-door talking to anyone who might have heard the shooting.
