CHERRYVILLE, N.C. -- A probationer is facing new charges after a warrantless search of his residence turned up evidence of a once-operational meth lab, officials say.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office assisted North Carolina probation officers in the residential search of probationer Dusty Franklin Sisk, 31.

Sisk's home, in the 2100 block of 2125 Chapel Lane in Cherryville, housed evidence that a former meth lab at once operated there.

Sisk is charged with one felony count each of manufacturing a controlled substance Schedule II and possession of a controlled substance Schedule II, in addition to one misdemeanor count each of possession of drug paraphernalia and probation violation.

He was booked in to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center, where his bond was set at $100,000.
