LOCUST, N.C. -- Ingredients for a methamphetamine lab were discovered in a Stanly County home, according to the sheriff s office.

Several agencies responded to the home in the 16500 block of Five Points Road in Locust last week.

Investigators say they found Coleman fuel, lye, coffee filters, plastic tubes, muriatic acid, glass jars and meth at the home.

John Michael Furr, 43, is now facing drug related charges.

He was booked into jail without bound.

The Stanly County Sheriff s Office says meth labs are a growing problem in the area. Anyone who knows of one should report it to police.
