CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A family was displaced after a tree came down on a house in north Charlotte early Tuesday morning.

The tree fell down in the yard of a home on Gregg Street near West Trade Street.

No one was injured, but the tree did damage three cars and part of the patio at the home.

Three adults and a child were displaced from the home after the tree came down. No one was injured during the incident.

The Red Cross is putting the family up in a hotel for a couple days while crews work to clear the tree.
