CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) Rock Hill South Pointe defeated Bluffton 42-27 to win the South Carolina 3A football championship Saturday.

Corey Neely scored on 57- and 53-yard punt returns in the first half, and South Pointe (14-1) turned a pair of interceptions into touchdown drives to build a 42-13 lead with 4:29 to play. Bluffton (14-1) outgained South Pointe 357-307 in total yards but turned it over twice deep in Stallions territory.

Following Neely's first touchdown return, Manzey Miller scored on a 6-yard run for a 14-0 lead. Jerry Scott scored from 1 yard out for Bluffton, but Neely answered with his second touchdown for a 20-7 lead.

Devin Pearson scored on a 1-yard run and Miller added an 8-yard score to make it 35-7. Pearson threw an 18-yard touchdown pass to Montay Crockett.

Pearson was 14 of 19 passing for 116 yards. C.J. Frazier passed for 210 yards for Bluffton.
