CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- You know what you won't be able to hear during President Obama's speech in Charlotte next week? A train whistle.
Norfolk Southern, whose tracks run within a few yards of Bank of America Stadium, said it's rerouting some of its trains during the Democratic National Convention.
The company said it will also increase security on some of those trains, and will have to bring some extra workers in to handle the extra work created by moving that traffic around.
All of this, said Norfolk Southern spokesman Robin Chapman, will not add to shipping costs.
