LINCOLNTON, N.C. A Lincoln County man is behind bars after officials say he called in a bomb threat at his ex-girlfriend s workplace.

The incident began Monday night around 9:30 p.m. at the Robert Bosch Corporation in Lincolnton.

Chris Carl Lee, 29, of Kings Mountain allegedly called the warehouse facility and told employees who answered that he placed C-4 explosives in the building and was going to blow the place up at 11:59 p.m.

The building was evacuated and deputies conducted a sweep of the interior and exterior of the building searching for any suspicious items, said the Lincoln County Sheriff s Office in a statement. No such items were found and employees were returned to their stations as soon as the building was confirmed to be secure.

Roughly 30 employees were inside the facility during the incident.

Investigators tracked the calls to a cell phone and say Lee made the calls because he was trying to get his ex-girlfriend fired.

Lee was arrested around 4:30 a.m. Tuesday at his home.

He is charged with one felony count of false report of a bomb and was placed behind bars on a $100,000 secured bond.
