CHAPEL HILL, N.C. (AP) -- UNC-Chapel Hill students are planning a rally to support a sophomore charged with violating the school's honor code by speaking out about being raped after a college court found her former boyfriend not guilty of the charges.

The rally will be held Friday to support Landen Gambill, whom the Honor Court charged last week with creating an intimidating environment for the man she accused of raping her.

Gambill and her supporters have said the private, student-run Honor Court previously found the man not guilty. UNC officials say no school administrator filed or encouraged the filing of charges against Gambill.

In January, Gambill and four other women filed a complaint against UNC-CH with the federal Education Department about sexual violence on campus. The department hasn't decided whether to investigate their charges.
