CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed a gas station in east Charlotte last Tuesday.

Police said a man armed with a gun walked into the Citgo Convenience store on Albemarle Road around 1:35 a.m., and demanded money from the cashier.

After taking the money the man fled on foot from the store, according to police.

The suspect weighs about 150-160 pounds with dreadlocks and a goatee.

He was last seen wearing a dark gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, a white t-shirt underneath the hoodie and black shoes.
