SARATOGASPRINGS, N.Y. -- Bobcats assistant coach Bob Beyer was arrested late Thursday night in New York.

Saratoga Springs police said Beyer and some friends got into a fight at a bar in Saratoga Springs, New York.

One of the men was being taken into custody when police said Beyer tried to intervene.

Beyer was charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest.

He was Siena head coach from 1994 to 1997. Beyer is now an assistant coach with the Bobcats.
