CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One of two men accused of assaulting a robbery victim is on the loose, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police.

Police responded to the scene in the 1700 block of West Boulevard around 12:30 a.m. Friday.

Detectives say Jatravian Robinson, 18, and another suspect pointed a firearm at the victim and demanded money. When the man said he didn t have any, the suspects allegedly threw him to the ground and assaulted him.

A family member came outside during the assault, took the gun and held Robinson on the ground until officers arrived. The second suspect fled.

Robinson was treated for minor injuries, and then placed in the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff s Office. He s charged with attempted robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery.
