CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Two days after the arrest of Patrick Cannon, his wife s employer has cut ties with her.

A memo from Allen Tate Real Estate COO Pat Riley says the company surrendered Trenna Cannon s license to the state immediately after learning of the federal investigation into her husband.

The memo was sent to NBC Charlotte.

Trenna Cannon worked in the agency s Ballantyne office.

We must allow the legal investigation to take its due course, Riley writes.

Riley adds the company is saddened by the allegations and they are thankful Patrick Cannon stepped aside.

The FBI complaint against Patrick Cannon references Trenna and her alleged knowledge of some criminal activity. This includes accepting money for a shopping spree, according to the FBI. Trenna Cannon has not been criminally charged.

One July 1, 2013, Cannon and his wife traveled to Las Vegas. UCE1 (undercover agent) provided Cannon with transportation to the hotel he selected and room keys, a prepaid tour of Las Vegas, and $1,000 in cash. The cash was given to Cannon when they arrived at their hotel, in close proximity to his wife.
