ROCKWELL, N.C. -- Authorities in Cabarrus County arrested a man Wednesday in connection with a Rockwell woman's stabbing death.
Around 7:15 Wednesday morning, deputies with the Cabarrus County Sheriff's Office responded to the 5700 block of Sapp Road on a report of a female who had been stabbed.
When deputies arrived, they found the body of 63-year-old Gwendalyn Reid.
A witness on the scene told authorities about a possible suspect, 28-year-old Ashley Nathanael Seymour.
Seymour was located nearby and taken to the Sheriff's Office for questioning.
Seymour, who authorities say is related to Reid, was subsequently charged with her murder.
Seymour, whose mugshot was not available at the time of this writing, is held without bond.
