CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- One student was taken to the hospital following an incident at West Meck High School on Monday.
Around 12:45, Charlotte-Mecklenburg School officials say something happened during a transition period on the West Meck High School campus.
School officials wouldn't comment on the nature of the incident, but did say one student was taken to the hospital as a precaution as the student's head struck the floor.
Due to the incident, the campus went under restrictive movement protocol, which limits free movements in the hallways of the campus by students.
There's no official word if anyone will be charged in connection with the incident, or even if the incident was violent in nature.
The school will dismiss at its normal time of 2:15.
