SMYRNA, S.C. -- The York County Sheriff's Office has charged a 62-year-old man in connection with a drive-by shooting.

The York County Sheriff's Office has arrested Kenneth Ray Lynn, 62, of Smyrna, and charged him four counts each of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.

Authorities say Lynn fired several shots into an occupied home on Walnut Street from his vehicle on Saturday night in retaliation; the Sheriff's Office says Lynn believed someone in the home killed his dog.

Lynn, when questioned by detectives, admitted he had a 30-year old warrant out of New Jersey, and was not allowed to be in possession of a firearm.

A search of Lynn's property turned-up one shell casing on his front porch, and several more were recovered from the cab of Lynn's truck, the Sheriff's Office says.

Three bullet holes were found in the walls of the victim's home.

No one was injured in the drive-by shooting.

Lynn is held in the York County Detention Center without bond.
