CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- No one was injured when a fire ripped through a southwest Charlotte home early Monday morning.

Firefighters were called to a home on S.J. Lawrence Road near Steele Creek Road around 4:30 a.m.

Crews were able to get the fire under control quickly. Fire officials said there were people in the home during the time of the fire but were able to get out safely.

Officials are investigating the cause of the fire.
