VILAS, N.C. -- Two Watauga County residents suspected of running a meth lab are now in police custody.

Detectives began investigating the property on Linda Lane in Vilas in early June.

Police say several methamphetamine precursors were found feet from the home. Further evidence of a meth lab was found in a search of the house, according to investigators.

Pamela Osborne, 42, and Michael Laird, 41, now face drug charges including manufacturing methamphetamine.

Police booked them into Watauga County Detention Facility.
