LENOIR, N.C. -- Lenoir police said they've arrested four people involved in a hit-and-run last weekend.

Miguel Cruz Cepeda, Heather Dawn Alvarez, Carlos Tapia Alvarez and Jessica Campos-Ballesteros all face several charges for a hit-and-run that injured a man on Sunday.

Police said they discovered a man injured after being hit by a vehicle on Spainhour Street around 6:30 p.m.

Further investigation revealed that Cepeda who was operating a black 2006 Honda Ridgeline, and struck the victim who was standing in the roadway, according to police.

After striking the victim, Cepeda fled the scene of the crash. The victim was transported to Caldwell Memorial Hospital where he was admitted for injuries related to the crash, police said.

Cepeda faces felony hit-and-run and assault with a deadly weapon charges. He's being held at the Caldwell County Detention Center.

The three other suspects also face multiple charges for their involvement in the hit-and-run.
