ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. A Kannapolis teen wanted by two local counties has been arrested.

Brandon Lee Rumple, 19, failed to appear in a Cabarrus County court for a heroin trafficking charge dating back to April 2012.

He was charged for possession of more than 200 grams of heroin during that incident, police say.
Rowan deputies arrested Rumple at a home on Patterson Road in China Grove Saturday morning. The Cabarrus County Sheriff s Office received a tip about his possible location.

Police say they knocked on the door numerous times before the suspect s mother answered the door. Deputies quickly took him into custody. He was booked into jail under a $1,000,000 secured bond.

Rumple has multiple other charges pending against him in Rowan County. Most recently, the sheriff s office says authorities found controlled substances hidden in his rectum when they booked Rumple into the detention center for a revoked probation.

He s been charged with several other crimes in the past including allegedly firing a handgun at two people and other drug crimes.
