CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police and other participating agencies netted more than 100 charges at a DUI checkpoint overnight.

CMPD, along with Pineville, Matthews and UNCC Police Departments and Mecklenburg County ABC officers, conducted a DUI checkpoint from 11 p.m. Saturday until 3 a.m. Sunday in the 900 block of Tyvola Road.

In all, 104 charges were filed in the operation, of which 10 were for DUI, one for DUI under 21, three open containers and one charge of possession of marijuana.

One person was picked up on an outstanding warrant, while the remaining charges filed were for no operator's license, driving while license revoked and for tags, inspection and other traffic violations.
