RUTHERFORDCOUNTY, N.C. -- The Humane Society of Charlotte offered their assistance in rescuing dogs from a puppy mill in Rutherford County on Thursday.
HSC is assisting the Humane Society of the United States in rescuing more than 50 dogs from a puppy mill in Rutherford County.
The dogs were found on three different properties by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office.
Officials say the dogs, which included English Bulldogs, yorkies, cocker spaniels, French Bulldogs and shih tzu breeds, were found to be living in poor conditions and were in need of medical care.
Shelly Moore, president and CEO of HSC says some of the dogs will be brought back to Charlotte for evaluation.
