CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- A Charlotte woman accused of riding around in a stolen car for months has been arrested.
Charlotte woman found with stolen car in Davidson County
Davidson County s Interstate Criminal Enforcement Unit stopped the driver James Thornton and passenger Princess Houghton Thursday on I-85 South in Lexington.
Officers say they stopped the 2013 Nissan Altima for traffic violations.
Thornton was released from Rockingham County Jail earlier in the day. He was issued a citation for driving with a revoked license.
Police say Houghton has been in possession of the car, with Maryland plates, since April. That s also when the owner it was reported stolen.
Houghton was booked in the Davidson County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond.
