CHARLOTTE, N.C. Five women were arrested in what police are calling a prostitution operation in east Charlotte.

Police received information from people complaining of prostitution activity on Frontenac Avenue and Eastway Drive just south of The Plaza. Various robberies were reported in the area, too, according to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police.

Uniformed and undercover officers saturated these areas to identify and arrest prostitutes, police said in a statement.

Five women were arrested Wednesday and were given various prostitution charges: Delmonica Cuthbertson, 37; Wendi Wolfe, 42; Lisa Ayers, 42; Chantal McFadden, 20; Michela Cornett, 21.

Albert Henderson, 22, was also arrested during the operation and charged with firearm by a felon.
