ROCKHILL, S.C. -- South Carolina Highway Patrol were involved in a brief pursuit Thursday afternoon.

Law enforcement told NBCCharlotte a trooper observed a motorist make a violation on Interstate 77 southbound in York County around 4:30 p.m. and attempted to stop the vehicle.

The female driver fled the trooper and exited I-77 onto Cherry Road before crashing her vehicle near the intersection of Charlotte Avenue.

The driver, according to officials, smashed into a utility truck and a few other vehicles, bringing the pursuit to an end. Her name has not been released.

No injuries were reported and the scene has since been cleared.
