RALEIGH, N.C. -- A forthright North Carolina girl is determined to meet Gov. Pat McCrory, and she s taken to the internet to make it happen.
Madison Kimrey, who says she s one of the Moral Monday crowd in Raleigh, is asking the governor for a discussion regarding the new voting legislation in the state.
Madison says she s reached out to Gov. McCrory previously in vain. In a video posted to YouTube, the young activist invites him to Bicentennial Mall in Raleigh on Thursday to chat. She even baked a pound cake for the occasion.
Madison also started a petition on MoveOn.org to bring attention to her goal of meeting the governor. It has thousands of signatures.
