CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- U.S. Airways found themselves at the center of a Twitter storm on Monday, and it all started right here in Charlotte.

Violinists Zach De Pue and Nick Kendall from the group Time For Three walked off a flight at Charlotte Douglas after the captain and crew of a U.S. Airways flight informed them that their violins were not allowed in the cabin.

Upset about the decision, the musicians let their violins do the talking-- right on the tarmac-- creating a social media firestorm.

Eventually the airline stepped in and rebooked the two musicians.

According to the TSA's website, musical instruments can be brought on board as carry on or checked baggage.
