With school out and kids spending more time outside, parents have concerns.

When a child goes missing, investigators want pictures that they can put out to try and help with the search. But in many cases parents are too distraught to quickly come up with some recent photos.

The FBI is pushing awareness for its app that does just that.

It is called FBI Child ID.

It's a free download in your app store.

Parents can have their kids pictures loaded on the app, along with other descriptive information. All the pictures and information can be quickly emailed to the police.

The FBI promises that no photos or information about parents will be collected or permanently stored.
