DENVER, N.C. -- Local authorities arrested a Lincoln County woman accused of robbing pharmacies in Catawba, Gaston and Mecklenburg counties.
The Lincoln County Sheriff s Office charged Lorrie Kimberly Griffin, 45, with with two felony counts of trafficking heroin, one felony count of maintaining a vehicle/dwelling for a controlled substance, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
Griffin also faces armed robbery and attempted armed robbery charges for the drug store robberies on Gilead and Sam Furr Roads, according to the police report.
While being questioned by Huntersville Police, authorities say Griffin confessed to at least seven area pharmacy robberies.
Deputies from the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office learned that Griffin was involved in the drug store robberies. They located Griffin's black Dodge Ram and pulled the truck over on Business Highway 16 on Tuesday.
During the traffic stop, authorities found a BB gun that looked like a real pistol in a gym bag along with numerous Oxycodone pills.
Deputies also found a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.
Griffin was placed under arrested and placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $100,000 secured bond.
Chandra Diane Griffin, 19, Lorrie's daughter, was also charged with misdemeanor
counts of possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.
She was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. She was jailed under a $2,500 secured bond.
