ROCKHILL, S.C. -- A man was killed in a Rock Hill accident on Wednesday.

Rock Hill police said a 2001 Mercury Sable was traveling west on Constitution Boulevard when it crossed the center line, traveled across the east bound lanes, left the roadway and struck a tree.

A 62-year-old man and a 9-year-old passenger were injured in accident and were taken to Carolina Medical Center - Main.

The man was pronounced dead at the hospital a few moments after arriving.

The accident remains under investigation at this time by the Rock Hill police. No other vehicles were involved, according to the police.

Police have not yet released the name of the man killed.
