CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police say one person has serious injuries after sustaining a gunshot wound.
CMPDresponded to the 3500 block of Durham Lane Tuesday morning around 11 on reports of shots fired.
One victim was found with a gunshot wound, and authorities say the victim's injuries are serious.
A second victim was located a short time later, who also sustained a gunshot wound, police say; MEDICsays this victim has life threatening injuries.
A third victim was located about an hour after crews responded to the scene; police say the third victim does not appear to have life threatening injuries.
Police say the shooting seems to have stemmed from an altercation between known subjects, and the shooting was not a random act of violence.
All parties involved have been identified, and police are not looking for any addtional suspects.
The names of those involved have not been released.
Nearby Ranson Middle School briefly went on lockdown, about 10 minutes, due to the police activity in the area. Parents were notified via a ConnectEd message.
